Legal — Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy.

What we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. Written in plain language because legal jargon doesn't help anyone.

Effective · May 19, 2026

i.

Who we are.

Happy Tech Corp ("Happy Tech," "we," "us") is a software company in Tampa, Florida. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit happytechcorp.com or use our products.

We are the data controller for any personal information collected through our site or services.

ii.

What we collect.

We collect only what we need to deliver and improve our products:

  • Account & order info. Email address, name, business name, and order details when you buy a product or sign up for our list.
  • Site content. The business information, photos, and text you submit through the intake flow so we can build your site.
  • Payment information. Processed by Stripe; we receive a transaction ID and last 4 digits of the card, never the full card number.
  • Usage data. Pages viewed, basic analytics (referrer, country, device type), site performance metrics.
  • Communications. Email and support messages you send us.

We don't sell personal information. Ever.

iii.

How we use it.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Build, host, and deliver the site or product you ordered.
  • Process payments and issue refunds.
  • Respond to your messages and support requests.
  • Send you transactional emails about your order and delivery.
  • Send occasional product updates if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Diagnose problems, improve product quality, and detect fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

iv.

Who we share with.

We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate Happy Tech. Each has its own privacy policy, and we share only what's needed for them to do their job:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Cloudflare — site hosting and CDN (your finished site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages).
  • Anthropic — AI model used by our content engine to draft site copy from your intake.
  • Email provider — transactional and (opt-in) marketing email.
  • Analytics — privacy-respecting analytics (we don't use Google Analytics as of this version).

We may disclose information if required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (and we'd notify you in that case).

v.

Cookies & tracking.

Our site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies for the site to work, and optional analytics cookies. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Your generated site (the one we deliver to you) is static HTML and doesn't set cookies by default. If you embed third-party widgets, those will follow their own policies.

vi.

Data retention.

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

  • Order records: 7 years (tax / accounting).
  • Hosted site content: until you tell us to remove it or until you stop using our service.
  • Email correspondence: 2 years from last contact unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Analytics: aggregated to non-personal form after 13 months.

vii.

Your rights.

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:

  • Access — see what personal information we have about you.
  • Correction — ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information.
  • Portability — receive a copy of your data in a usable format.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your information.
  • Objection — opt out of marketing emails or certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. Residents of California and the EU have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA and GDPR respectively, and we honor those requests too.

viii.

Security.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information — encryption in transit, encryption at rest where supported, access controls, vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you as required by law.

ix.

Children.

Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

x.

International data.

We're based in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We use industry-standard safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable) for international transfers.

xi.

Changes.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the site with a new effective date; if we have your email, we'll notify you of significant changes.
